Conceptual Engineering
Our concept selection criteria identifies and considers all technically feasible production schemes. Once identified these schemes are broken down into process requirements for further evaluation and ranking. This evaluation will cover such parameters as, cost, economics, risk, system availability and operability. Consideration is given to drilling, production facilities, satellite and subsea developments, pipeline export routes and onshore requirements.

Capital Cost Evaluation
We put great emphasis on keeping ourselves informed of all the latest developments in the oil and gas industry that have implications on future development and operating costs. The successful development of new reserves depends on new approaches to problems and innovative low cost ideas and technology. We also use MAP Deepwater 6.01™ and FAST-EST 2.26™ software programs from Berwanger, Houston to facilitate the preparation of cost estimating

Project Planning
For project scheduling and progress reporting we use Primavera (P3) or Microsoft Project to prepare project plans and schedules. These are structured and presented in various levels of detail to satisfy the different organizational needs and facilitate effective progress measurement, schedule control, cost phasing and manpower analysis.

Operating Expenditure
During the early stages of a project we give consideration to the way the facilities will be operated. This can have a significant impact on whether money is spent on capital expenditure items or is deferred until the operational phase. The full ‘life cycle’ cost of any project will be estimated keeping in mind all the safety and environmental issues. The operational demands and operating philosophies of manning issues, concurrent drilling and production are also addressed.
